The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Directors who bring diverse professional, business and academic experience. They generously give their time and expertise to advance the work of our Hospital Foundation.
The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation works with Horizon Health Network to identify the highest priority medical equipment and health care projects that are not funded with government funding. Your donations are essential to supporting the world-class health care facility we have in the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Under MindCare New Brunswick we raise and distribute funds to numerous programs across the province that promote mental wellness and provide services to those living with mental illness. A major funder of community mental health initiatives, MindCare NB is a committee of our Board of Directors and considers applications for funding under the following four categories:
Donations to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation help to provide grants for innovative and transformational medical and mental wellness research.
Your donations help to sustain important and greatly appreciated programs such as professional development and grants for nurses.
Patient Comfort means enhancing the hospital experience for patients, families and staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital by fulfilling needs for emotional support, physical comfort and medical care.

Cost Recovery Policy
The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors (the “Board”), through its Finance, Audit and Investment Committee, conducts regular and detailed reviews of the Foundation’s investments, policies and procedures with respect to the stewardship of donor dollars. The Board believes that, similar to other not-for-profit entities, it is reasonable for undesignated and designated donations to support a portion of the Foundation’s operational costs. The Foundation’s focus will always be to minimize the cost per dollar to meet or exceed industry standards. This policy is reviewed annually to ensure that the Foundation’s operations are sufficiently supported to maximize the ultimate goal of advancing healthcare in New Brunswick.
