Communications Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the new position of Communications Coordinator will be responsible for developing dynamic and impactful copy and assets that effectively communicate the brand story of the Foundation across all media platforms (print and digital).

Additionally, this role will further support the organization's strategic marketing and communications goals by supporting our development team (annual giving, major gifts programming and stewardship) with projects like:

    • donor recognition
    • events promotions
    • expanding our digital brand presence

all while utilizing storytelling and sharing impactful statistics to acquire new donors and steward existing donors.

What you will be doing

What we want to see from you

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in communications and/or marketing, equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in fundraising, marketing and/or communications.
  • Experience with managing and creating paid and organic social media content calendars, across various platforms mandatory.
  • Demonstrated investment in staying up-to-date on social media best practices and trends related to content creation and analytics.
  • Strong copy writing and organizational capabilities.
  • Keen eye for details and design.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with WordPress, Canva and Hootsuite considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong relationship skills and commitment to teamwork.
  • Proactive work ethic and a passion for our mission.

Hiring salary range of $42,000 - $52,000 per annum for 37.5 hours per week & work from home opportunities.
