The Foundation Announces Strategic Restructuring and Management Changes to Better Support Future Growth

SAINT JOHN, NB: The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation announced today strategic steps to reorganize and better enable current and future growth. Building on the Foundation's strategic plan, changes to the structure and new appointments to advance fund development capacity and enhance future fundraising performance.
The changes come under the leadership of interim President & CEO, Jamie Gallagher, whose focus is moving the organization forward. "The appointments and new structure are a reflection of our commitment to enhancing our efforts to grow the Foundation and its support of our hospital," said Jamie Gallagher. "The Foundation has seen tremendous growth the last five years. The leadership roles we are announcing today, which were recently approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, strengthen our senior management team and support the momentum we have with our strategic priorities."
"Structural changes include expanding the Vice President position to focus on brand awareness and operationalizing strategic goals. Supporting philanthropic revenue is the creation of two new director positions devoted to driving additional growth in key fundraising programs advancing revenue to continue our mission on behalf of the donors we serve," said Gallagher.
Shannon Hunter, currently Director of Marketing and Communications, has been appointed to Vice President. Shannon is a seasoned marketer and strategist with impressive accomplishments across her career. In her new role, Shannon will continue to lead brand efforts to competitively position the Foundation while providing strategic oversight in the diversification of fundraising programs and daily operations.
Natasha O'Donnell, CFRE, the Foundation's Annual Giving Manager, will step into the newly created Director of Direct and Digital Marketing role. Natasha will continue to lead and grow annual giving programming, signature events and enhance direct marketing and digital campaigns, expanding the Foundation's reach and building its base of supporters.
The Foundation will engage an external recruitment firm and launch a nationwide search for the second newly created Director of Leadership Giving, focused on growing major gifts and planned giving, in the coming weeks.
